Conference on Emerging Jurisprudence of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
About the Conference
The perspective of Lessig highlights the profound influence that programmers and developers wield in shaping the digital-legal world. AI’s integration into legal processes has the potential to revolutionize the practice of law. The advent of AI is no different to other social and technological developments.
There is a need for ethical considerations and responsible coding practices, as these digital regulations can impact privacy, security, and fairness, necessitating oversight and accountability akin to that of traditional legal systems. There is a need to deliberate upon AI’s impact on law because of the profound implications it holds for justice, fairness, and societal well-being. The conference sessions aim to explore predictive analytics in litigation, where AI can analyze historical data to forecast litigation outcomes, thus aiding legal professionals in strategy formulation.
The conference will also delve into AI-driven legal research, showcasing how machine learning algorithms can efficiently sift through vast amounts of legal documents to identify pertinent information. Moreover, the implications of automated decision-making in judicial systems will be scrutinized, addressing both the benefits and potential biases introduced by AI.
