Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Does Not Support MW3 Weapons, Skins, Or Other Cosmetics

As part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reveal event, Activision confirmed that DLC skins, cosmetics, and weapons from Modern Warfare III will not carry forward to Black Ops 6. In a blog post, Activision said, “We want to make sure that everybody starts fresh, together, as we move into an all-new experience” with Black Ops 6.

As such, DLC from Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III will not be available within Black Ops 6, with one exception. The Woods Operator Pack, which is available already in MW3, will be supported in Black Ops 6.

DLC skins and cosmetics for Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, and Black Ops 6 will carry forward to Call of Duty: Warzone when an upcoming Season 1 update arrives.

“Allowing everyone to experience the Black Ops universe the way it’s meant to be played, learning the era-specific weapons and gear, learning the gameplay innovations like Omnimovement, and keeping that signature Black Ops style is important,” the developer said, explaining why Black Ops 6 won’t support skins from the most recent Call of Duty games.

2023’s Modern Warfare III marked a big change for the Call of Duty series, as it allowed players to important their Modern Warfare II weapons and cosmetics and keep using them in the new game. This was known as a “Carry Forward” program, but it is not going to continue with Black Ops 6.

Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, and in a big shift thanks to Microsoft purchase of the series, fans on Xbox can play it through their Game Pass membership. We learned a lot about Black Ops 6 recently, including the first details on its campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. Specifically, Black Ops 6 is bringing back the traditional round-based Zombies experience, and people are pretty excited about that.
